Be Involved in Your Community

Be involved in your community and volunteer your time to help others. It doesn't have to be a chore-pick something that interests you. You can help tutor or mentor students, serve on the board for a local organization, and even make donations for a silent auction item for that very deserving group that approached you. You can sleep well knowing you helped others, and that you just helped yourself too. Prospective clients are all around you and they will remember your kindness. Marketing is about getting your name out there--it won't happen from just sitting in your desk chair so get up and get involved in your community today.

Need help finding something to do? There are many sites to help you find volunteer positions that are local to your area. In St. Louis, we have stepupstlouis.org or you can search google.com for sites that will help you find a group to help. Lastly, you can always approach an organization directly-few will turn down an offer of help.
